The 13-Day Journey of a Lifetime

This journey is necessarily long for a number of reasons and we want to lay that out now. Besides Peru being in the Southern hemisphere, the nature of our journey involves high-altitude landscapes which demand a few days of acclimatization time. The other factor is that the more beautiful regions of this trek are deeper into the valley, which takes more time to reach.

Niraj and I agreed, that anyone committed to joining this life-changing journey would be missing out if they only did the more popular and easier Santa Cruz trek, which doesn’t compare to where we’re going. This is a mission. Energy will be depleted. All of us will have to dig deep, wake up early, and trek into the night, staying open and ready to planned and spontaneuous challenge the whole way. But in the end, it’ll be all smiles and pride

Preparation is necessary. To prepare for the journey, as a team, we will provide, insist on, and support a training regiment designed by both Niraj and I. Niraj is an experienced trekker and I, an ultra-marathon runner, will ensure we are strong enough for a successful adventure. Committing to both regular running and meditation throughout the preceding months and monthly group video call check-ins, we’ll be ready by the time the journey begins.

The Inirly Men’s Retreat Guides

Niraj Vora

Niraj is a lifelong naturalist. Raised in Northern California, with the wonder of the American West at his young feet, Niraj took advantage of the world around him. From The Boyscouts to Mt. Everest, Niraj has been immersed in nature his whole life.

During the Inirly Men’s Meditation Retreat Niraj will assume leadership over all backpacking and camping activities. He will instruct the “re-wilding” experience, educate us on the landscape’s geological and ecological features, and lead the group along the trail, day and night.

Alongside his expertise of nature, NIraj comes from a Jain background. His upbringing is deeply rooted in eastern religion and, in that, he is well-versed in the principles of meditation. He easily provides meditative insights to the conversations of mental peace, good-living, and divinity; all aspects of a superior man.

Eben Oroz

Eben has been teaching meditation for over a decade. With a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and ample experience with psychedelic compounds, he is, through and through, a lover of mind and soul.

As a former professional MMA fighter, Eben’s relationship to his body and intense training comes through his approach to breathwork and meditation. Heroes like Bruce Lee, who emphasized emphatic practice, endurance, and constant repetition have forged a very well-received approach to mindset mastery. Spiritual heroes like Ramana Maharishi have instilled a dogma that this journey into mind must be taken alone, committedly, and with uncanny discipline.

In addition to his innovative meditation techniques, there will be moments of ritual and practiced connection to the inexplicable and cosmic. Time will also be devoted to journaling, group sharing, and self-inquiry.
