PATHWAYS TO GOD
an 8 part training
Retreats. Yoga. Breathwork. Meditation. Health.
WHAT’s tHE PROGRAM?
Pathways is a bundle of 8 micro-retreats spread over 8 months in beautiful Topanga Canyon.
Between $250 and $350 per retreat, this is made for LA locals.
Pathways is ALL about sneaking away to practice, remembering life, and eating well with friends at regular intervals throughout 2020.
From postures to breathwrok to meditation, each retreat will focus purely on one of the 8 fundemental steps of yoga as defined by one of yoga’s most respected sages, Patanjali.
Made to be accessible to our busy lives and schedules, the 8 micro-retreats start Saturday at 8am and end Sunday around 4pm, sleeping over Saturday night to fully immerse ourelves in this practice we all love and need.
Four chef prepared meals will be served per weekend except for the last two weekends which will involve fasting!
*Three distinct yogi-chefs will divi up the weekends to create a culinary journey that starts at delicious and ends at pure.

YOUR TEACHERS AND CHEFS
Everyone involved in Pathways from teachers to chefs to the homeowner are practiced yogis.
My good friend Eddy and I will lead the practices and lectures.
Eddy has gone through two 200 hour teacher trainings and attended my AS I AM retreat 6 times. By next year he will have explored India, which is an initiation of sorts for any serious yogi.
Taylor Smith, Kuniko Yagi, and Keaton Flicker are the three yogi-chefs who will cook for the program. Each has a different take on how food is medicine, art, and joy.
Soulful food. Soulful practice. Soulful life!

I want this program to be accessible and affordable through its schedule and cost.
There are two sleeping options; Renunciate and Comfort.
Prices range from $1800 to $2800 FOR ALL 8 RETREATS!
Renunciate means you’ll sleep in the studio on your mat with a pillow and blanket you bring. Eddy and I will be sleeping this way.
Comfort means you’ll be sleeping in the home. If you choose Comfort the bedding options are first come first served.

WHY GO ON ANY RETREAT?
Retreats are great for the mind and body! They are a practice in and of themselves and arguably THE practice. Stepping away creates perspective. It’s like defragmenting your computer. It helps the whole system!
My perspective is this; it takes guts to step away and whatever takes guts is a road worth taking!
So break the routine, reset the diet, recommit to the body, and retreat.
CAN I JUST GO TO A FEW OF THE RETREATS?
No, the value of this program depends entirely on its regularity.
By regularly “retreating” every month we will build the habit of honoring ourselves.
*Sign up for the newsletter on the homepage to receive info on less time consuming events like meditation hikes and outdoor classes and workshops.
DO I HAVE TO SLEEP THERE?
Yes! It’s a sleep over. Remeber those?
But really, to not go home for one night and stay in practice amplifies the experience of the weekend and our sense of commitment.
The thought of “I am still here.” is empowering. It helps us commit to the idea that yoga, soul, and self are serious priorities in our lives.
IS THIS A TEACHER TRAINING?
It is not! Its about 150 hours of practice and just shy of the 200 hour standard training length but these 150 hours are solely designed for you to practice as a student.
The strongest teachers are the strongest students, for you teachers out there.
IS THIS APPROPRIATE FOR BEGINNERS?
Absolutely. If you are beginning your yoga practice by the end of this program you will be lightyears ahead of where you were and know more than most practitioners.
Its not a competition but the truth is our western concept of yoga only focuses on a small fraction this practice.
IS THIS APPROPRIATE FOR ADVANCED PRACTITIONERS?
For sure. Even if you know every mantra, all the philosophy, and can perform every posture, there is still the lesson of retreating itself.
I’d be honored to hold the space for you to step away from you’re routine so that you can practice what you’ve already honed in a more intense way.
And maybe you’ll learn something new?
